Why 3 seconds? I timed both manually casting meteor shower and using meteor shower in combination with Etched Sigil + Arcane torrent. However, you only want to manually cast meteor about once every 3 seconds. This will bring down more meteors over time, and since we can channel during those impacts, this will bring more damage to the table than just channeling. You will want to manually cast meteor, even on a channeling build. Here is the direct quote from Cratic: "Yes. This is the thread I remember seeing it in: I'm not talking about keeping the Tal Rasha buff up with manually casting every 3 seconds, it's to proc AD and do more overall dmg throughout the rift. You can keep the buffs up between packs if you want just by casting at nothing as you travel. The 6 piece bonus however only requires an initial full attack rotation with all 4 but can be refreshed indefinitely by attacking with just 2 of the 4.Īdditionally the 4 and 6 piece bonuses don't need you to actually hit anything to count. The 4 piece bonus requires a full 4 element rotation for the maximum resistance and you need to actively cast all 4 to refresh it for full effect. However the 4 and 6 piece bonuses do require an active attack, not just "doing damage" and even then they work slightly differently: Its bonus depends on "doing damage" not attacking if you read the fine print. For example your storm armor will proc a meteor every 8 seconds. The 2 piece bonus where you get free meteors from the 4 different elements does not require a cast. ![]() Tal Rasha is not easy to understand from the bonus description and to make things worse the 2, 4 & 6 piece bonuses work differently. ![]()
